In African-American circles it’s called inherent/implicit bias. I disagree with the presumption that we can never rid ourselves of a perception gap. Galatians 3:28 proclaims we all should have a clean slate, so to speak - at least among Believers. The problem is some don’t want equality of any kind. These folks like labels. It gives them a modicum of control.
